Hellooo to all of you sun-kissed goddesses!
I just got back from my trip to Utah, Arizona, and Las Vegas and it was really warm there most of the time. So because I tan easily and don’t use much sunscreen, which I know is horrible, my skin got a little darker. I personally love a little bit of a tan on what was my pale winter skin, so I use clothes to make my skin look brighter, warmer, and darker. In the winter, white clothing tends to wash people out, however when you are tan, white is the best option to make your skin appear darker. Neon and pastel colors are also a great way to accentuate your tan because they provide a contrast to your skin color that will make your tan stand out. Coral is another trendy color that will make your complexion appear warmer and will bring out even the smallest amount of sun your skin has absorbed. If you are really tan, the color gold is a really great option because will look make you feel like a gorgeous tanned goddess! I hope you are all having a warm spring or are looking forward to a hot summer because I certainly am! Grab some inspiration for how to rock your tan from these pictures:

Skin care is very important, so that is why I am sharing this awesome product with you guys. Many of you have probably seen advertisements or own a large sonic face brush. This face brush, Pulsaderm Buddy, is half the size and still has the same amount of power. Pulsaderm is a line of skincare devices designed and assembled in the U.S that help enhance the health of skin with expertly engineered skin care solutions. I have been using this face brush every morning and evening and I love how it feels on my skin. My face feels really clean and smooth afterwards because of the Pulsaderm Buddy’s micropulses which clean deeply to get rid of any dirt, makeup, or oil. Its concave-shaped bristles allow the brush to reach all parts of my face that are difficult to reach, so it is a perfect tool to wash my face with. I also love how small it is; it fits in the palm of my hand and it’s really cute! Its convenient size allows me to take it on vacation with me and fit it into a travel-sized bag. When I first received my package I was pleasantly surprised that the Pulsaderm Buddy came in a cute silver travel-sized makeup bag. It also came with batteries (but the face brush has a super long battery life) as well as two replaceable brush heads. Another great thing about this facial cleansing tool is that it’s also a beauty tool. One of the replaceable brush heads sold on their website is actually a makeup sponge brush made for applying foundation; which is really cool and useful!
I hope you found this review helpful!

These thick soled shoes have resurfaced from the 1970s and are perfect for the spring time. Platforms come in a variety of styles such as sneakers, sandals, boots, and pumps. Platform shoes were all the rage in the 1970s and were primary worn for attention. These days, platform shoes are still worn to make fashion statements by bold fashionistas who wear them for their combination of added height, comfort, and trendy style. Check out how these ladies wore their platform shoes in the pictures below!

This spring, I am embracing the baseball cap as a sporty accessory that can be worn in style. Baseball caps are one of the coolest trends this season and they add a masculine touch to your outfit. You can create your sporty look with a baseball cap from Fanatics; the leading online retailer for everything sports, specializing in apparel. They have a wide selection of many MLB caps perfect for celebrating America’s pastime in style or just heading out somewhere! I created four “sports luxe” outfits with baseball caps from Fanatics based on the color scheme of the caps. The baseball caps from Fanatics are the perfect gear for devoted fans to show off team pride while hitting the gym, street, or field! There is a Fanatics baseball cap for every outfit, and they can work with just about anything. The link to their hat page will be at the end of the post.

Lupita Nyong’o impressed at the 87th Academy Awards in her custom designed Calvin Klein gown. The dress is truly amazing and is hands down one of my favorite gowns worn at the 2015 Oscars. The white color of the pearls stood out beautifully among her gorgeous dark complexion, and the jewelry she wore was the perfect amount. Who has not dreamed of wearing something dripping in this many pearls? Lupita practically looked like red carpet royalty. The strappy back of the gown was the cherry on top because it made the gown fit in with the contemporary style of dresses. I bet this gown will end up in a museum one day!

There are many tricks to making your eyes appear larger, and using white eyeliner to enhance your eyes is one of them. I have watched many beauty gurus on YouTube talk about the benefits of white eyeliner, so I decided to try it out. Besides lining the waterline, there are other makeup tricks with this liner as well. You can trace the inner “V” corner of your eyes, under the eyebrow, and above the cupid’s bow to brighten up those areas. Make sure to blend the white color properly when applying it to the skin.
As you can see from the picture below; my right eye looks bigger because of the white eyeliner on my waterline.
For a bold look that can be seen on runways, trace your whole eye, wing out the liner, or blend the liner into the crease of your eye.
What do you think of this makeup look?
Today I am doing a special post. I don’t usually do these kind of personal posts but I wanted to share some of my projects from the fashion class that I take at my school. The semester is over so I will not have this class next semester. One assignment in the class was to create a couture dress made only out of newspaper (we cheated a little by making some of the flowers of out napkins). I paired up with three girls to create this dress. We created the base from thick white paper. After that step, we layered the dress with a lot of newspaper. We all came up with the design of the dress, but each of us contributed in our own way to the dress. I think the final result of the dress was fantastic and that our hard work payed off. The picture below is a picture of me and the dress:
I also created a mood board along with three outfits inspired by the mood board. I named the mood board Afrochic because the clothing that I designed was inspired by different elements of the fashion and mood of Africa. (Please ignore my teacher’s writing on my second design)
Another project I did was a poster board showcasing five designs from my clothing line called Suspended Desert. The style of the clothing is modeled after the movement of the sand, as well as the different colors of the sand and the contrasting color of the sky.
I hope you liked them!
