Miley Cyrus’s massive shift in image continues to pay off for her, because now she is able to score even high fashion modeling jobs. The shoot was for a spring 2014 ad campaign shot by David Sims and styled by Katie Grand. In the pictures Cyrus is on a deserted beach surrounded by zombie-like models. The edgy pictures that she posed in for Marc Jacob’s ads did not look as horrid as expected, with the freaky high fashion vibe and the cool clothing; however, having Cyrus model in a high fashion ad campaign is a bit of a spit in the fashion industry’s face. From one look at these photos I was able to determine that Miley Cyrus and high fashion do not go together. In fact, the in-house photographer Juergen Teller, refused to work with Cyrus and didn’t shoot the 2014 ads. Cyrus’s same pouted lips and distant eyes in every picture received a lot of agreeable negative critique, although I can fully appreciate how refreshing it is to see no tongue hanging out and actual clothing that covers her skin. My favorite picture is the very first one because I love the garments and how they are styled, but do not get me wrong, Cyrus is not able to sell the attire like the other models.
